Growing up, I always loved to ask questions. Family friends would often even comment that I loved to, “ask 20 questions”. Naturally, I loved to tell a story and still do to this day. Even the top businesses coaches have quickly identified that through my personality, I love to – “tell a story”.

I don’t know how to describe it really, but it’s a feeling. It’s in my blood so to speak. I’m not aware of any journalists or editors in our family before me, but who knows, I’m sure that somewhere down the line, there probably was. Coming from the UK and with a French background on my Dad’s side in the generations, I love to wonder what it would have been like in those days. The days before social media, when they had only just started printing newspapers. Newspapers and hard copy publications are becoming less and less in our world, which is very sad as I love a good tangible, freshly printed page to read and admire, but I am grateful for digital platforms such as, this blog.

Cheers to writing, cheers to reading and cheers to following your passion in life, whatever that might be at any given time! xo

It has allowed, everyday people like me, and now a mum and wife to really have a voice, at any time of the day or night. It gives me the ability to write, which as you know, is something which I really do love so very much.

Writing is my thing. I believe that it always will be and I hope that is true. I hope that one day, my words really resonate with lots of people. That my words can help change their life in a positive way. Words can be powerful. Images are powerful too and go hand in hand, in telling a story and help bringing that story to life. As they say – a picture can tell a thousand words…

When I was a little girl, about two-years-of-age, smaller than what our eldest son is now, I used to LOVE this book called: The Biggest Little Girl. It was a musical, “turn the page” cassette book and I still to this day remember the main storyline and key words to the songs. It stuck with me my whole life. You often learn life lessons from reading stories, or can see how they can relate to your situation. I love to read, news, magazines and books. I do want to read more books as over the years, I have found that you really do have to make time. But these is nothing more exciting than going in to a bookstore and choosing some books of interest to you, that you know that you will just love! Then again, you don’t always like everything that you read. Some authors won’t always gel with you. We are all unique and people’s opinions vary, but reading provides different insights and perspectives. I think on its own, that is pretty darn special indeed!

Always make sure that your cup in life is full. Self-care is so important on your journey of life and most of all – allowing yourself to, “follow your dreams”.
